Keep Current with Library Events

by West Bend Library on 2020-02-07 12:00:00

As we begin a new decade, make a point to stop by the West Bend Library! The West Bend Library has so much to offer, everyone will be able to find something for them. We have material for readers, music lovers, movie buffs, puzzlers, genealogists, and more! Plus, we host lots of programs throughout the year.

There are programs for all ages; from baby to senior, and never a charge to participate. We will continue to offer our standards such as storytimes, book clubs, movie showings, Crafting Saturdays, Lego Club, Memory Cafe, teen clubs, Summer Reading Programs, and more. Our two regular book sales – Cookbook Sale in May and Book Sale in September – are also planned. In addition, there are a number of new programs slated for 2020, including a book swap in February, re-enactor Jessica Michna in October, a home and garden series, a series for Veterans, and a collaboration of Anytime Fitness with a local physical therapist. Lots more programming is on the docket for year – make sure to watch for more information.

Fliers and information for all of our programs and events can be found in a variety of places: social media, our website, newsletter, podcast, and in-house fliers. To stay on top of library happenings on Facebook, just “Like” the page . But next to the "Like" button is another, more important button. Clicking or tapping "Follow" will allow you to make sure you see our posts in your news feed. If you want to see everything, click on "Follow," then "see first". You also have the option to get notifications about our posts; after clicking "Follow," go to "Notifications," select "On". We also launched an Instagram account last year – follow us at “westbendlibrary.”

For a monthly view, sign up for the Newsletter. Every month the Library sends out an electronic Newsletter to your email. The monthly publication lists each event with a program description. You can sign up to get the Newsletter on the website or at either Reference Desk. If you’ve signed up in the past, but have not been getting the monthly email than be sure to check your spam/junk folder. While on the website, check out the Library’s new podcast, “Pager.” The monthly podcast covers all aspects of the library from new material, programs, and library services. You can listen to the podcast off the website or anywhere you listen to podcasts. All programs can also be found on the library's website under the "Events" page or select an age group tab to look at age-specific offerings.

For our patrons who do not have email or a computer, we always have paper fliers available for pickup in the Library. For a monthly overview - and fridge decoration - grab a paper calendar that lists every library program for that month.

For assistance accessing any of these avenues – social media, newsletter, podcast or website – please contact the Reference Desk via phone (262) 355-5152 or email libref@westbendlibrary.org. West Bend Library 630 Poplar Street West Bend, WI 53095
